Margaret “Jane” Wood
June 11, 1924 - November 18, 2017
Jane Wood, 93, of Syracuse passed away on Saturday. She was born in Syracuse, the daughter of the late Raymond and Marguerite Thomasmeyer. Jane retired in 1992, following 46 years as a registered nurse. She was an active member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church and was a part of the Altar Guild. Her hobbies included furniture restoration and heritage scrap booking. She was predeceased by her husband, Orla M. 1991 and by her grandson, David John Wood in 2008. Survivors include her children, Janet McKown of Liverpool and David (Amy) Wood of Tunkhannock, PA; her grandchildren, Kevin (Courtney) Wood and Adam McKown and great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Wood.
A calling hour will be Tuesday, Nov. 21st, from noon to 1 pm followed by services at 1:30 pm in St. Stephen Lutheran Church, 873 DeWitt St., Syracuse. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
