Dominick Barbuto Sr., 75, of Syracuse passed on Monday. He was a native of Italy but lived in Syracuse most of his adult life. Dominick proudly served in the Italian Army. He was employed as a landscaper for Barbuto’s Landscaping. Dominick was a very competitive Bocce ball player. He was predeceased by his parents, Ambrogio and Claudia Barbuto; his brother, Tony Barbuto. Survivors include his son, Dominick (Jacqueline) Barbuto Jr. of Syracuse; his two daughters, Kelly (Dennis) Ellsworth of Syracuse and Johanna (Rich) Tompkins of Pleasant Valley, N.Y; his brothers, Theodore (Carmella) Barbuto, Frank (Kathy) Barbuto and John (Heidi) Barbuto all of Syracuse; his sisters, Rose Santaguida of Italy and Raffaela (John) Failla; 8 grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Monday 4p.m to 7p.m. at the Carter Funeral Home, 1604 Grant Blvd. Syracuse. Services will be Tuesday 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
