Anthony D. “Tony” Jones

Anthony D. Jones, 56, of Lyncourt passed away on Saturday. He was a graduate of Henninger Class of 1980 and also Graduate of Boston College in 1984 where he played Offensive Line with Doug Flutie. Tony was a communicant of St. Daniel Church. He was known as the “Mayor of Lyncourt”. Tony was an entrepreneur/ Roofer for his company Peak Remodeling. He loved spending time with his friends and family at his camp on Hyde Lake, “To the Bay” Tony was frequently heard saying “Cash Up” when he walked in the room. He was predeceased by his father, Donald N. Jones in 1984 and his sister, Lisa Marie Jones in 2014. Survivors include his wife, of 23 years the former Debra Sturick; his two daughters, Abbey L. Jones and Kayla A. Jones; his mother, Patricia A. Jones; his sister, Lorri Jones-Bushnell; many nieces and nephews and his dog Rocky. Calling hours will be Wednesday 4 to 7 pm at Carter Funeral Home, 1604 Grant Blvd. Syracuse. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday 12:10 p.m. at St Daniel Church 3004 Court Street Syracuse. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
