Beatrice A. Poehlman (Miller)

Beatrice A. Poehlman, 88, of Syracuse passed away on Tuesday. She was a native and life resident of Syracuse. Beatrice retired after 25 years of service with New York Telephone. Her husband, who was the love of her life for 68 years, Charles had predeceased her in October of 2017. For many years Bea and Charles enjoyed spending winters in Florida and cherished time spent with family. Survivors include her daughter, Patricia (James) Matthews; her son, John (Brenda) Poehlman; grandchildren, Sam Rotondo, Erin Horton, Jacqueline Morey, Adam Matthews and Adriane and Katherine Poehlman; seven great-grandchildren and brother, Jim (Kay) Miller. Calling hours will be Friday, Mar. 16th, from 5 to 7 pm at Carter Funeral Home, 1604 Grant Blvd., Syracuse. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 9 am at St. John the Baptist / Holy Trinity Church. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
