Obituary for Ben G. Lambert

Ben G. Lambert
December 8, 1960 - March 15, 2018
Ben G. Lambert, 57, died Thursday at his home in Syracuse after a short illness.

Ben, “the Record Guy,” Lambert, son of the late Benny and Barbara Lambert of Auburn, NY, was born on December 8th, 1960 in Auburn. He earned an Associate’s Degree from Cayuga Community College and worked for more than a decade in the O.R. at Auburn Memorial Hospital before going on to make Music composing, performing, consulting, teaching, collecting, and selling his sole proprietor business in Syracuse. A resident at his home on the Northside of Syracuse for 25 years, Ben was also known for his active Neighborhood Watch presence and leadership, loyal friendships, love of long walks and talks, backyard barbecuing, music concert going, record show vending and attending, and NY State Fair attendance over almost every decade of his life. He was equally a stable, loving, spirited presence in the lives of his younger sister, older brother, several nieces and nephews, and beloved kitties and will be sorely missed.

Ben is survived by his sister, Dr. Lynn Lambert, of Rochester, NY, brother, Roger Langford, of Baldwinsville, NY, several nieces and nephews, several beloved cousins, and several beloved friends from every era of his life.

Calling hours will be Saturday, March 24th, from 2 to 4 pm at Carter Funeral Home, 1604 Grant Blvd., Syracuse and prayer and reflections services will follow at 4 pm.
