Condolence: Please accept my late condolences. I knew Ben through another record collector. He was the sweetest nicest man anyone could ever meet. He was a good man who did the right thing. The world needs more people like him. I will miss him very much.

Condolence: Ben and I met 47 years ago in the 6th grade and have been friends from day 1. We grew up together, cried together, laughed together and respected each other. He started a circle of friends that still exists today. Thank You, for creating this circle of friends.
In middle school Ben was a magician in the talent show He was pretty good. I still have his magic kit. We also sang in the chorus and that was the start of our love of music. We would spend our time and allowances going to Nichols Department Store to buy the latest 45 or album. Ben and I turned each other on to a wide variety of music and we would spend hours in his room listening to our newest records and discussing what they meant to us. That’s the Ben I will remember.

In high school we both decided to start taking music lessons to expand our love of music. Ben bought a piano and I a guitar. Saturday afternoons were spent at Lusk Music Studio. We used to practice in my bomb shelter or in Ben’s living room on Logan St. Logan St, our circle of friend’s home away from home, if those walls could talk the stories they would tell. We would spend hours on the week-end watching Don Kirshner's Rock Concert, Soul Train, Saturday Night Live, and many others. Lots of memories were born there. We used to go to most of our High School dances not only to meet girls but to listen to the music being played. In our senior year Ben introduced me to Judy, who 32 years later would become my wife. That’s the Ben I will remember.

After high school, Ben started several bands.I remember spending week-ends packing up equipment and heading out to numerous local bars to play. I have fond memories of being a roadie and doorman for their gigs. We have over the years attended numerous concerts together. From NYC to Buffalo and everywhere in-between. Music has intertwined our lives from the beginning. That’s the Ben I will remember.

Ben was my best man at my first wedding. He was there when my son and daughter were born. Ben was always there to help friends and family when needed. Over the years we remained loyal friends. Ben may not be here in body, but he will always be in our hearts and souls. Ben is now in heaven with all the people who he has loved, respected and admired, that have passed on. I know he is the Ben that I remember. Rest in peace and let the sound take you away. I will not say good-bye, but I will say, see you later. Till we meet again. I will always remember you my friend. Ben.

Condolence: My heart felt condolences to your family Ben. Over the years we lost touch but I'm glad to learn that you were able to follow your passion in life. The last time we talked we were listening to albums in your room on Logan St. And we were talking about everything we knew about Pink Floyd. You were a good person with a good heart. I hope you have found peace.

Condolence: Dear Ben,
I spent the whole day listening to all of the classics, from the early 1950’s to the late 1970’s. I even changed my FB profile pic to a classic 45 of Sam Cooke’s “Change Is Gonna Come”. It wasn’t until a few hours later that I learned you had passed away.
You were the “Music Guru”. Ben “The Record Guy” Lambert. You were an adventure to Donna and I. We would hop in her car and head to your house out in Auburn, back in the 80’s. Everyone was just kind of draped all over your furniture, while you schooled us in the most interesting, secrets, and facts about whatever artist you had decided to drop onto the turntable.
You are a great memory of my teen-age years. I think of those days like well-loved snapshots of my life. Listening to music with you, all of us going to Rocky Horror, and Donna and I going with you, Todd G., Sam C., and the other guys in your band The Numbers to play gigs at the local bars in Auburn.
You will be missed Benny.
As always, I will think of you every time I hear “Benny And The Jets”.
I will always remember you with a smile on my face.

Condolence: Ben, we haven't had any contact for a very long time, but there was rarely a day when I didn't think of you. We went through a lot together, and you have elft us far too early. One "cool dude snake shake" between friends forever, Lee.
