Obituary for Catherine "Bootsie Busch" Vieau

Catherine “Bootsie Busch” Vieau
November 20, 1935 - April 28, 2018
Catherine Anne Vieau, 82, of Syracuse passed away on Saturday surrounded by her loving family. Catherine was a native and life resident of Syracuse and a 1954 graduate of St. Vincent DePaul School. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Vincent DePaul Church and former president of the Altar Rosary Society. For many years, Catherine owned Boo-Kay Flower Shop and Catering. She volunteered at Crouse Hospital, the SPCA, Vera House and in recent years, at the Bennett Manor Concessions. She was a member of the Red Hats. She was predeceased by her husband, of 56 years, Joseph and by her daughter, Anne “Twinkee” Robinson. Survivors include her children, Suzanne (Peter) Talarico, Cheryl Dalto, Sandra and Nancy Vieau, Catherine (Michael) Knight, Joseph Jr. (Christine) and Dave Vieau; her nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marilyn Adams and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Monday, April 30th, at St. Vincent DePaul Church, 342 Vine St., Syracuse, from 4 to 7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 am at the church and burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
