John E. Gladys, 62, of Cato passed away on Monday. John was a self-employed contractor for many years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. An avid musician, he was a drummer for several area bands. Survived by his wife, Stephanie; children, John (Stephanie) Gladys, Andrea (Jason) Whitney and Megan Russo; his grandchildren, Tyler, Brianna, Jameson, Clarissa and Michael and siblings, Jeff and Kristine Phillips and his many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Friday, July 20th, 4 to 7 pm at Carter Funeral Home, 1604 Grant Blvd., Syracuse, with services following at 7 pm.
