Obituary for Debra E. George (Leach)

Debra E. (Leach) George

Debra E. George, 58, of Syracuse passed away on Thursday. She was raised in Marcellus and had lived in Syracuse for most of her life. Debra retired in 2017 from Verizon, following many years of service. Her greatest joy came from time spent with family, especially with her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her father, John and by her brothers, John, Jr. “Bud” and Danny Leach. Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Robert; her daughters, Andrea (Mo) Carter, Lucille “Sue” (Jay) Soulia, Sheila (Garry) George; her sons, Christopher Taylor and Robert “RJ” George; her grandchildren, great grandchildren; her mother, Phyllis Leach and her sisters, Donna (Marty) Feeney and Amy (Krystal) Leach; her brother, Mike (Nichol) Leach and her best friend, Laurie. Calling hours will be Monday, Nov. 12th, from 4 to 7 pm at Carter Funeral Home, 1604 Grant Blvd. Syracuse. Services will be Tuesday at 11 am at the funeral home, followed by entombment in Woodlawn Cemetery. Online condolences at CarterFuneralHome.com.
