Pearl Bombardo (Russo)
June 27, 1925 - December 23, 2018
Pearl Bombardo, 93, of Syracuse entered into eternal rest Sunday. Pearl was born on June 25, 1925 and was a 1942 graduate of Vocational High School. She was employed at Sibley’s Department Store bakery and at St. Joseph’s Hospital during her working career, but mostly she took great pride in being a stay at home wife and mother. She loved the casino, cooking and Mother’s Day brunches. She was predeceased her husband, Joseph; by her siblings, Margaret Puchir, Dora Carbon, Sam and James Russo. Survivors include her children, Kathy Moro, Joseph Bombardo and James (Linda Crawford) Bombardo; her grandchildren, James Bombardo and Trisha (Josh) Freeman; sisters, Mary (Jimmy) Cavallo and Gloria (Jack) Foeder and her many nieces and nephews. Services will be private at the convenience of the family and burial will be in the Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery. Pearl’s family wishes to thank the staff of the former James Square and The Bishop along with the PACE Program for their wonderful care and compassion.
