I have been away for a couple of weeks and today brought a small bouquet of flowers and her favorite chocolate to the Cunningham only to learn my dear friend Marylou had passed.
I cannot tell you how saddened I am but also very happy feeling privileged to have had such a good friend.
Marylou was a beautiful, talented, strong, feisty, witty and compassionate woman. I adored being in her presence and admired her artistic talent and soul. I spent a lot of time with her at her home and visited her while in the nursing home. I was so sorry I was unaware of her passing and want to express my most sincere sympathy to you all.
I have lost a very dear friend. She will forever be in my heart.
Condolence: Our sincere condolences to your families. Although Mary Lou's journey with us has come to an end, she will forever remain in our hearts. She was truly a unique and talented individual always encouraging others to succeed in life. We were blessed to have had her in our lives for the few years we knew her. May she rest in peace.
I first Marylou when she attended classes I taught at Hutchings where she was a therapy aid. She went on to be an MSW social worker and a respected therapist in the community. We became friends for many years sharing the laughs and sorrows of life. I was born on Xmas and never had a b'day party until Mary Lou organized a surprise one for me, a first.
Mary Lou was indeed tough and soft. She was curious , intelligent, artistic and always reaching out to make life better for all who came across her path.
She loved her children, great and great grandchildren above all and was there for them when needed.
Over time, our paths diverged and we did not see much of each. Nonetheless the relationship was treasured. I will miss her not being in the "room".
Condolences to all who love her and will miss her dearly,
Mary Ann Zeppetello
Condolence: I echo what Peg Miller wrote about MaryLou.
She was a strong and complex woman with fierce energy to help those in need.
When I first knew her she was driving to NJ visit Tom and family, and to Georgia to be with John and family.
She loved her family and was very happy to be a Mother,Grandmother and a Great Grandmother!
May her soul rest in peace now that she has passed from this Earth.
With heartfelt sympathy to her family and all who loved her.
Condolence: Mary Lou was a complicated woman. She overcame incredible losses early in her adult life to become a very strong woman. She stood up for herself and mentored young women to learn to do the same. She was smart, creative, stubborn and brave. She could be tender or tough or both at the same time and always let people know what she thought. After my daughter met Mary Lou for the first time, she said, “Wow, she has the best bad attitude I’ve ever seen.” She was inquisitive and always learning. She was always teaching as well. She had an eye for beauty. She was quite a woman.
Condolence: Dear Karrat Family, I am so sorry for your loss. When we lose a love one in death it is never easy. During this difficult time may your family find comfort in Gods word the Bible that soon we will see our love ones again. -John 5:28,29
Condolence: May the family of Mary L.Karrat please accept my sincere condolences hoping you find comfort in God's words at Acts 24 : 15 and Psalm 37 : 29.
