Michael R. Marlow
June 22, 1953 - December 13, 2017
Michael Roland Marlow, 64, of Hastings, NY passed away peacefully on Wednesday at Francis House in Syracuse. Born in Albany, NY, Mike lived most of his life in Hastings enjoying the home he built with his able hands.

Mike was known for his career successes and generous volunteerism. He prided himself on his successful career in sales while working for Oracle Corporation, EMC, Avaya, Callfinity and most recently as Vice President of Sales for IMSWorkx before retiring in 2015. Mike generously gave his time through service in the United States Air Force and later as a volunteer fireman and paramedic. He served his church as an altar server in childhood, teaching Sunday School, as well as playing guitar in church worship teams and assisting in various church building projects. Mike enjoyed hunting, playing his guitars, songwriting, Nascar racing and devoting hours of his time and talents to helping people repair and paint cars in his garage. Mike is fondly remembered by friends and family for being a “jack of all trades” who willingly gave his time, talents and resources to those in need.

Mike was extremely loving and proud of his son and three daughters, Aaron Marlow (Sara) of Fabius, NY, Sarah Lussier (Bryan) of Schodack, NY, Amy MaCoy (Tom) of Elkins Park, PA and Megan Rowland (Adam) of Cicero, NY. His six grandchildren Allison, Abby, Chase, Caelyn, Jack and Emma were his pride and joy. In addition to his children and grandchildren, Mike is survived by his brother Stephen Marlow (Lydia) of Burnt Hills, NY and nephews Paul and Roland. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Amelia and by his brother John.

Calling hours will be Monday, December 18th, from 3 to 6 pm at Carter Funeral Home, 1604 Grant Blvd., Syracuse and services with Military Honors will follow at 6 pm.
