Condolence: To the Family and Friends of Chief Poehlman:

I join in extending my sincere heartfelt sympathy to you and your family during this most difficult time. May happier memories help to sustain you and bring you comfort through this period of sorrow.

Charlie originally hired me to work the Airport Crash Rescue Crew back in 1976, where I stayed until 1994, before becoming a Syracuse Firefighter, and ultimately retiring from the S.F.D. in 2014.

He was a very fair gentleman who I enjoyed working for, and I thank him for giving me the opportunity to become a career professional firefighter, a job that I loved the whole time I was involved.

Rest in Eternal Peace, my friend.
